Whether you are new to the Kodi community or a veteran, finding live TV can be overwhelming. That is why we are glad to see the TDB TV Guide addon. One of the great features of open source is that groups may pick up where others have left off. Mind you, this addon is not perfect, but it is always improving. As you might suspect, this guide scrapes the information from the live channels you have, and tells you what is on now as well as coming up soon. That can be very helpful when trying to sort through the numerous options.
Reminder: Using a VPN with Kodi will allow you to privately access all Kodi add-ons. We recommend IPVanish, a fast, no-log VPN. You can use their Fire TV app to change IP and unblock restrictions. Save 72% off during the IPVanish Birthday Sale.
In case you are not aware, this addon falls into the category of unofficial status. That means that you are not allowed to mention it on Kodi forums or any of their websites. Support is handled through the TDB team, and the information for getting in touch with them is located in the add-on. In this guide, we will show you how to download, install, and use the TDB TV Guide addon for Kodi.
How to Download and Install the TDB TV Guide Addon
To gain access to this great add-on, you need to open Kodi, go to the System heading, and select File manager.
Now, you want to choose the option that says Add Source.
You will see the Add files source box. Enter the web address of http://tdbwizard.co.uk/repo and hit Done. It will also give you the option to name the add-on. We suggest using something easy like TDB, but you can call it anything you want.
From this point, go back to the home screen and click the System heading. That will take you to the Settings screen you see below. Now, click Add-ons.
Out of the five options listed, you want to choose the middle one. It will say Install from zip file.
Here, you will need to locate the file you just saved and click on it. Of course, we called ours TDB.
Since we are looking for a zip file, you want to choose the one that says repository.teamtdb-X.X.zip. The number you see in the version will likely be different from the one we are given here.
After a moment, you will see a pop up notification indicating that the add-on is enabled.
Now, click the option listed right above the last one that says Install from repository. That will bring you to this page. Select the option that says ..Team TDB Repository.
Next you want to click on Program Add-ons.
You should now see two options. The one you want to choose is labeled .TDB TV Guide. A prompt will now come up, giving you the option to install. Click on that option.
Once successful, you will see the indicator screen in the lower right hand corner letting you know the add-on is enabled. You will also see it on the left side.
Your TV Guide add-on is now ready to use, so we will show you where to access it.
How to Use the TDB TV Guide Add-on
To use, navigate back to your home screen and select the option that says Programs.
